Job Responsibilities:


Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E):

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework for the "Means to Lead" project in collaboration with project partners and stakeholders.
  • Design M&E tools, including surveys, questionnaires, and data collection instruments, to track project progress and outcomes.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites to ensure compliance with project objectives, identify challenges, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze M&E data to generate insights and recommendations for program improvement and decision-making.
  • Prepare timely M&E reports for internal and external stakeholders, including UN Women and project donors.


Reporting:

  • Compile project progress reports, and quarterly updates in accordance with project requirements and organizational standards.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all project-related reports and submissions.
  • Coordinate with project staff and partners to gather relevant data, success stories, and case studies for reporting purposes.
  • Review and edit reports for clarity, coherence, and adherence to UN Women guidelines and reporting formats.
  • Facilitate learning and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance understanding of project outcomes, best practices, and lessons learned.


Coordination and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with project team members, including project manager, and field staff, to ensure alignment of M&E activities with project goals and objectives.
  • Liaise with UN Women, government agencies, and other stakeholders to share M&E findings, facilitate joint planning, and promote mutual accountability.
  • Participate in relevant meetings, workshops, and events to represent JNUS and contribute to collective efforts in advancing gender equality and women's empowerment.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Honor’s or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, statistics, or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, preferably within the gender equality and women's rights sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods.
  • Experience in designing M&E frameworks, tools, and systems for development projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and compelling reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and data analysis software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to gender equality, human rights, and social justice.
